ALBUM REVIEW (DANGEROUS WOMAN)

You know Ariana Grande, right? (I mean, who doesn't?)

Most people know her by her sweet girl attitude, her stand on feminism and her high-pitched vocals. But that is not what I'm discussing about today. Because in her recently released album, she has grown into something out of the stereotype judgement of her character.

Dangerous Woman is Ariana's third studio album by Republic Records. It was just released last week, May 20, 2016. The album features guest appearances from other artists such as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Macy Gray and Fututre. The lead single of the album was Dangerous Woman which was released on March 11, 2016. She performed the song on SNL and on other live shows. The second single was Into You which was on May 6, 2016.

You maybe wondering what happened to Ariana's earlier hit, Focus. Well, Focus, which was released on October 30, 2015, was originally intended to be the lead single of the album but they did not include the track in the standard or US editions of the album. However, it was included in the Japanese edition of Dangerous Woman.

Before the release of Dangerous Woman, Ariana released a first visual (Visual 1) on her track, Dangerous Woman. Visuals are like music videos, I guess. I don't know what's the difference between the two but I'll make a research about that so... moving on. The track was supposed to have second visual (Visual 2) but I don't know exactly what happened but Ariana decided to RIP Visual 2 and let Visual 1 be the official music video.

After the release of the album, Ariana (my loves. haha) released the music video of her second single, Into You. The video was released on May 23, 2016. The video featured her in love with her personal body guard while they run away from reality and have lovey time in a place called HONEYMOON INN (I see what you did there, Ari. Honeymoon Inn. Honeymoon Avenue. Yeah). But at the end of the video, Ari gets back to her "famed life" with her official famous boyfriend but tends to get really sad when her boyfriend leaves her in the corner. You know, just watch the video yourself.

COMMENTS:
WHAT CAN I SAY?! I LOVE THE ALBUM! It's very original. It's very Ariana. It's different. It's nothing like her two previous albums. This shows another side of her. It shows that she is not just a ballad artist or she is just not about those high-pitched vocals. She shows that she can do any genre.

This is the time that she has shown she CAN do R&B. Everyone thought that she was JUST A POP ARTIST. But no. Ari can do R&B, hip-hop, pop, jazz, ballads, soul, mellow. Anything. She is a universal artist and that was shown in this album.

FAVORITE SONG/S?
I can't decide. I have been listening to album on repeat for days and I still can't because they are all too good. But only three songs stood out the most for me and that is Into You, Moonlight and Let Me Love You.

They really had amazing arrangements and vocals.

I loved Into You because of the #LSS factor. LSS stands for Last Song Syndrome. It has the ability to get stuck in your head and it just becomes your new jam. Plus, the rhythm is awesome. I love the beat. It can be a slow club dance or a fast crazy dance.

Moonlight is very refreshing. It has the same vibe as the intro track in My Everything. It was really a good choice to be a intro track in the album because it sets the mood. It just clears your mind from that previous album and focuses it in the new album. (you get me?)

Let Me Love You was different. It shows a completely new side of her. The song is really good. I can't stop listening to it. It's mellow but still, you can club dance to it. Plus, Lil Wayne did awesome in this song. Points for Lil Wayne for doing a great job.

So far, the album reached #1 in iTunes all over the world on its debut. That is amazing. That is how good the album is. So better buy the album and listen to it. Don't do anything else if you haven't listened to the album yet.
